Patricia Lamour

Patrica1Patricia Lamour is the co-founder of GEEDA (Gender Education and Enterprise Development for Africa) network and consultancy, a partner of WISE and a Director of Aspire Education Group.
She is a former regional government policy advisor; head-teacher of a top Cambridge University International Examination school and currently an equalities advisor to Ofqual, the national exams regulator for England and Wales.
Patricia’s insight, experience and networks spans three decades in the fields of equality, education, youth, gender and African development. Her article “Is Africa rising with women leading the way?” was recently published in New African magazine.
Patricia has been an international consultant for UNICEF, Action Aid, CfBT, Concern Universal, FORWARD UK and the EU in the fields of gender mainstreaming, women’s leadership, curriculum development and equality, emergency response and preparedness, FGM and forced marriage. Country experience includes the Gambia, Mali, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Portugal, Netherlands and Germany. She speaks English, German, some French and Jamaican patois.
